Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Can Siber Systems see all my user names and passwords?
A: No, if your Passcards are password-protected. Your RoboForm data stored in password-protected Passcard files is encrypted using strong AES 256-bit encryption with your Master Password being the encryption key. Nobody can extract data from this file without knowing the Master Password. If you have RoboForm installed on your client computer, your encrypted Passcard will be downloaded in encrypted form to your computer and decryption will be performed on your computer. In addition, Siber Systems follows strict privacy rules regarding users' stored content and you are the only one allowed to access your RoboForm Everywhere account.
- Q: Can somebody listen in on my RoboForm Everywhere session and steal my passwords?
A: No. We use SSL to encrypt all data passed between our RoboForm Everywhere Servers and your desktop/laptop. In addition Passcard files are also encrypted, as described above.
- Q: What happens if your RoboForm Everywhere Server goes down? Will I still be able to use RoboForm to login?
A: Yes. RoboForm stores your data (passcards, identities, safenotes) on your computer. RoboForm synchronizes the data between your computer and our RoboForm Everywhere servers. Our servers are located at a secure facility with a 99.99% updtime. But if our servers go down, you still have the version of your files on your computer and RoboForm uses them to login. You will be able to synchronize the latest updates from other computers via our server, when our servers are back online.
- Q: Can I use RoboForm 7 Everywhere on Multiple Computers and Devices?
A: Absolutely. Your RoboForm 7 Everywhere account can be used on all of your computers, mobile phones, and USB drives. Your RoboForm data will be synchronized through your RoboForm Everywhere account..
- Q: What happens to my Passcards if I stop using RoboForm Everywhere?
A: You can stop using RoboForm Everywhere and delete your RoboForm Everywhere account at any time. You will still be able to login to all your sites as you normally would. You will not be able to sync your passwordsbetween locations automatically.
- Q: Will I still have my passwords if I cancel my RoboForm Everywhere account?
A: Yes. If you decide to cancel your RoboForm Everywhere account all your data and passwords will be removed from our servers, but your copy of RoboForm Data will remain on your computers.
- Q: Will I be able to recover my passwords if my computer crashes and Passcards are lost? What would I need to do?
A: Absolutely Yes. One of the main benefits of RoboForm Everywhere is that you always have a backup copy of your passwords. Since you have a RoboForm Everywhere account, a copy of your Passcard files is securely stored on our server. Simply reinstall RoboForm on your computer, select RoboForm > Options > User Data > Sync RoboForm Data, and follow the remaining instructions to synchronize your Passcard files from our server back to your computer.
- Q: Can I synchronize other files to my RoboForm Everywhere account?

- Q: How many Passcards can I have in my RoboForm Online account?
A: There is no limit to how many RoboForm data files you can have in your RoboForm Online account as long as your total file size does not exceed 10 Mb.
- Q: Is the RoboForm Bookmarklet safe to use on public computers?
A: Yes, the RoboForm Bookmarklet is not related to your actual account on RoboForm Online, it only acts a normal Bookmark to the RoboForm Online Login and Form Filling abilities. Once you are ready to leave the computer, you can click the RoboForm Bookmarklet, and choose "Logout" from the window that appears. This will ensure that nobody else can access your RoboForm Online Account once you leave the computer.
- Q: How do I logout of the RoboForm Bookmarklet?
A: You can logout of the RoboForm Bookmarklet at any time, simply click the RoboForm Bookmarklet, and once the window appears, just click the "Logout" link near the top right corner. This will ensure that nobody else can access your RoboForm Online Account once you leave the computer.
- Q: Can I save or update Logins when using the RoboForm Bookmarklet?
A: Currently there isn't an ability to save or edit items using the RoboForm Bookmarklet. These two abilities are only in the RoboForm and RoboForm2Go PC versions. We do plan to add the ability to Save items in the near future.
- Q: Does the RoboForm Bookmarklet synchronize data from my RoboForm Online Account to the computer?
A: No, the RoboForm Bookmarklet does not synchronize anything to the computer you use it on. Instead, all data is left on the RoboForm Online server, where it stays. The only time any personal data is brought to the computer where the RoboForm Bookmarklet is being used, is when you tell it to "Fill Forms" or "Fill&Submit" from a Login. When this happens, no data is "Saved" to the computer, it is simply accepted by the Bookmarklet and used to fill the forms on the website, and subsequently it is discarded.
- Q: Why is my Master Password not being accepted when using the RoboForm Bookmarklet?
A: Please make sure that you are using the proper Master Password that is used in RoboForm or RoboForm2Go where this Login was created. If you still experience issues, please attempt to login to RoboForm Online and access it directly from the website using the same Master Password. If this still does not work, please contact our support at this link.
- Q: What does "Use this password until logoff" mean?
A: When using the RoboForm Bookmarklet, you may want to have it "remember" the Master Password you entered, to avoid having to retype it each time you want to fill a form. You would just check this box if you want it to remember the master password you have entered. Once you "Logout" of the RoboForm Bookmarklet, this remembered master password is discarded.
- Q: What does "AutoLogoff per settings" mean when I login using the RoboForm Bookmarklet?
A: The RoboForm Bookmarklet can be used as a RoboForm substitute when on systems where RoboForm is not available, and for this reason we have allowed users to "extend" the lifetime that they can be logged in to the RoboForm Bookmarklet, as well as the RoboForm Online website itself.
You can select from the dropdown menu if you would like to choose a shorter or longer time to remain "Logged In" to the RoboForm Bookmarklet, which will wait for this timer to countdown, or wait for you to manually "Logout" using the link on any Bookmarklet window.
The item in the dropdown "Per settings" is referring to the RoboForm Online Account settings, which can be changed within your RoboForm Online Account website, under the "Manage Account" tab.
- Q: How do I tell the RoboForm Bookmarklet to "forget" the Master Password after it has been cached?
A: In order for the RoboForm Bookmarklet to "forget" your Master Password, you simply need to Logout. You can do this by clicking the RoboForm Bookmarklet, and clicking the "Logout" link on any of the Bookmarklet's windows. Anytime you Logout of the RoboForm Bookmarklet, any cached information is discarded.
- Q: Why is the RoboForm Bookmarklet not showing all of the Logins from my RoboForm Online Account?
A: The RoboForm Bookmarklet is not meant to display ALL of your logins in your RoboForm Online Account. It acts similar to the RoboForm "Matching Passcards" button on the RoboForm Toolbar, where it will only show matches based on the current Website URL you are on. So only Logins that are for the domain "hotmail.com" will appear when you are at the "www.hotmail.com" website. If you would like to view all of your passcards, you can do so by logging into the RoboForm Online Website directly.
- Q: I have more than one profile in RoboForm on my home computer. How can I use them all with the RoboForm Bookmarklet?
A: RoboForm Everywhere (Online) was designed to synchronize a single RoboForm Profile per account. If you wish to use multiple Profiles, you'll need to create an Everywhere account for each Profile. If using the RoboForm Desktop/Laptop version of the software you'll be able to easily switch between Profiles. If you use the RoboForm Boolmarklet, which allows a free Everywhere account, you will need to Logout and Login to the seperate account within the RoboForm Bookmarklet to change between Profiles.
